Taiwan Chipmaker Hit By Earthquake, May Affected Apple’s New A10 production

In our previous report, Apple has awarded Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) to be the only manufacturer leaving Samsung in the dust. TSMC will manufacture Apple latest A10 chip with their latest technology which will increase the performance with low energy consumption. Unfortunately, an earthquake happened in Taiwan, and it affected TSMC factory. Initially, TSMC said the earthquake might only impact 1 percent from their total production but in the latest report, it is bigger than they thought.


But TSMC is working hard to fix various foundry machines. It estimated the operation in resume back to normal in 48 hours. They have to ensure Apple products is not affected by the natural catastrophic.
