Show Hidden Files in Apple Mac OSX iMac, Macbook and Mac Mini

I want to check my .htaccess files while migrating my other website on WordPress. I can see it my FTP program FileZilla. But when I download it from the server, I am unable to find it. By default Apple will disable all hidden files from users. You need to enable the features in order to view it. Follow the steps below to show hidden files in Apple Mac OSX iMac, Macbook and Mac Mini.

1) Launch “Terminal”.

2) Type “defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES”.

3) Close all your Finder (all your open folders) and open it again. You should see all hidden files.

4) To disable it back type “defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles NO”.

5) Close all your Finder (all your open folders) and open it again. You should notice all hidden files will be hide from your view.
