iPhone 7 Chipmaker Starts Double Up Production Line

iPhone 7 chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) starts to double up their production line. In February, their output capacity is 40,000 and in March, they are targeting 80,000 12-inch wafers.


The company also spent a lot of money to buy new equipment that worth $81.8 million. They are also looking into developing new foundry for their 10-nanometer process. With Samsung already lose their battle as A10 chipmaker, it is now TSMC’s call to prove they are worth it to be a good chipmaker for Apple.
