iPhone 7 A10 Will Feature 10-Nanometer Technology Chip With Better Performance and Efficiency

Upcoming 10-nanometer iPhone 7 A10 chip will start production in mid-2016. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has been awarded the contract to manufacture the new A10 chip leaving Samsung behind. Previously, Samsung also one of the manufacturers who build the chip for iPhone 6S. The new deal has nothing to do with their competition in the smartphone market. Instead, TSMC has the capabilities to produce the new chip using 10-nanometer manufacturing process and their packaging technique allow for better power performance and efficiency.
