India Ready To Waive Certain Policies For Apple

India is ready to waive certain policy for Apple to start to operate their official retail stores in India. Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion said “state-of-the-art” and “cutting-edge” technology companies entitle to receive a special exception from the government. Currently, any foreign company who want to sell their product in India must have at least 30 percent of its part source from India suppliers. It is one of the reasons why Apple cannot fulfill it. Currently, only power charges on selected device are made in India. Other than that, Apple also informed there is no plan for Apple to refurbished their devices in India and sold it to the local market.
