India Is Loosening Its Strict Rules For Apple

Apple will open its first retail store in India thanks to loosening rules made by the government. India has strict rules for a foreign company to direct distribute their product. The authority requires 30 percent of each product they want to sell must contain at least 30 percent locally made product. With this new decision, India government might give a grace period for Apple. For the first three years, Apple can distribute their product locally without having to comply with the rules. India will extend the window up to 5 years if Apple keeps bringing in advanced technology into India. India market is important for Apple to expand their business especially when China keep surprising them with unexpected road blocks.
