iFixit iOS developer license had been suspended and its app on AppStore has been removed after the online hardware repair website had teardown the new Apple TV. The new set Apple TV is being given by Apple to selected lucky developers. Apple hope developers will have a better jump start to familiarize themselves on the new improves ecosystem but the free gift comes with terms and conditions.
iFixit said they have been contacted by Apple and they were informed that their action have violate terms and condition agreed. They are okay with action taken by Apple. iFixit also added they do not have any plan to rewrite their apps which being pull from AppStore but they will put their effort to revamp their mobile website.
A few days later, we got an email from Apple informing us that we violated their terms and conditions–and the offending developer account had been banned. Unfortunately, iFixit’s app was tied to that same account, so Apple pulled the app as well. Their justification was that we had taken “actions that may hinder the performance or intended use of the App Store, B2B Program, or the Program
Luckily for iFixit, Apple just suspended their developer license and pull their app from AppStore. I don’t know is there any other developers account being suspended too after exposing the new Apple TV.
