How Transfer Pictures and Contacts From Android to iPhone

Transfer pictures and contacts from Android to iPhone 6s and 6s Plus is now easy thanks to a new app developed by Apple. Named as “Move to iOS”, it is an app that will assist new iPhone users who previously use Android phone to transfer important data. If you already setup your iPhone, you need to reset it back to its factory settings. I have summarized steps involves migrating your data from Android phone to iPhone 6s or 6s Plus. It is advisable to use Wi-Fi connection while the process takes place to avoid extra data charges.


  1. On your Android phone, download “Move to iOS” from the Google Play. The app requires full access to your Android phone. Please make sure the developer is Apple Inc. (Below the app name is the developer’s name)
  2. Once installation completed, click the app to launch it.
  3. A page titled “Find Your Code” will appear in your Android phone. Leave the phone for a moment because you need to get a code from your iPhone for pairing process.
  4. Turn on your iPhone.
  5. If you see an iPhone home screen, it means your phone already being setup. Copy your photo from your iPhone because you need to factory reset the iPhone and it will delete your data.
  6. A fresh iPhone should display “Hello”
  7. Follow the instruction until you see a page titled “Apps & Data”.
  8. Choose “Move Data from Android”.
  9. Still on your iPhone, click “Continue” and a long code will appear. Do not turn off your iPhone.
  10. Move back to your Android, click “Next” at the top right of the screen.
  11. Type the code which displayed on your iPhone into your Android phone.
  12. Your Android phone will try to connect to your iPhone
  13. If success, a list will appear in your Android phone for you to select which data you want to transfer from your Android phone.
  14. Click “Next” and it will take some time to complete.
