Apple Recovers $40M Worth of Gold From Recycled Devices
In Apple’s ninth annual Environmental Responsibility Report, it has been reported Apple recovers $40 million worth of gold from recycled devices. In total, Apple recovered 89 million pounds of weight from their recycling program with 2,204 pounds of are gold. Other than gold, Apple also extracts material used in their devices, including silver, nickel, aluminum, steel, lead, zinc, tin, cobalt, glass and plastics. In the last March, Apple introduces Liam. Liam is robot use to make recycling process faster.
